The Pines By The Sea
Located off of Highway 1 between Morro Bay and Cambria, this little sea community has a mild, moderate climate that make the white sand beaches the perfect place. The area features peaceful undeveloped ranchlands with cattle grazing on oak-crested hills provide a backdrop for rest and relaxation. There is virtually no city noise, no traffic, no pollution, no crime.
Cayucos has a lot to offer from land to sea. There is public fishing off of Cass' Warf and the shoreline provides the perfect spot to sunbathe or collect drift wood.
Take a walk downtown any enjoy the Swiss-Italian and Portuguese flavor of the bulidings that house antique stores, candy shops, gift shops, and restraunts that features local wines of the area.
The Cayucos farmer's market is on Fridays from 10:30a.m.-12:30 from the last week in May to the first week in September. In March join in the celebration of local artistry with the Sea Glass Festival featuring sea g lass artsit and jewelry makers. In November the city hosts the annual car show downtown that features cars, music, a beer garden, and BBQ.
Cayucos falls into both the Cayucos Elementry School District and the San Luis Coastal Unified School District. The Cayucos Elemetry School District represents the elementry school in Cayucos itself. The San Luis Coastal Unified School District features 10 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 3 high schools.
