The city of Grover Beach covers 2.25 square miles that encompasses a wide array of activities including dune hiking, fishing, camping, horse back riding, and off road riding.
Grover Beach is also the location of an Amtrak train station that is walking distance from Pismo Beach and provides 2 daily stops and 2 daily round trips to San Diego with connecting buses to other destinations.
Every November to February thousands of Monarch butterlies migrate to the eucalyptus grove along Highway 1. This is believed to be the largest wintering sites for the Monarch butterflies in the United States. The grove includes docet tours and souviners during the migrating season.
On Sundays from July to September you can enjoy concerts at Ramona Garden Park along with a farmer's market and in August the Stone Soup Music Faire that features a wide array of music and family fun.
Grover Beach is part of the Lucia Mar Unified School District and features 11 elementry schools, 3 middle schools, and 2 high schools.
